What a pleasure and blessing for One Hundred Shares to be able to be an important part of each of the ministries we gifted monies to in 2016. By you being a partner with One Hundreds Shares, we all share in the opportunity to further the work of these ministries as well as further the work of the Kingdom. Together, we presented $50,000 to each of the following ministries:
ORCHARD
Atlanta Community Ministries, Inc.
Works to multiply, inspire and equip people to show the love of Christ by using their unique talents to meet the human and spiritual needs of others. Their aim is to multiply the number of compassionate Christian ministries in their community by mentoring entrepreneurial volunteers to develop bold new strategies, motivate churches toward focused external ministry, inspire people to serve their community and facilitate innovative service networks and diverse partnerships. Their grant money was used to upgrade and expand their technology and communications.
Bright Futures Atlanta
Was able to buy a 15 passenger van and laptop computers to better serve their roster of youth served in their program that promotes spiritual, academic and physical well being for at-risk underserved middle and high school youth who live in the poverty and crime filled neighborhoods of West Atlanta and surrounding areas.
Family Heritage Foundation, Inc.
Helps at-risk and refugee children and their families by providing enrichment and outreach programs in Clarkston, Georgia. Our gift to them enabled them to purchase 53 iPads, smart covers, charging carts, educational apps, a security system and an additional Site Coordinator to assist with the increased roster of students.
I Care Atlanta
Exists to stabilize lives and prevent homelessness by feeding the food insecure in metro Atlanta and surrounding counties through the distribution of groceries, cooked foods and links to resources that will result in self sufficiency. The ministry was able to purchase a new refrigerated delivery truck to help with the delivery of $1.5 worth of donated and prepared meals to over 35,000 needy individuals and families plus a partial funding for the salary of an additional delivery truck driver.
