Wellspring Living

Mission:

Our mission is to confront the issue of childhood sexual abuse and exploitation through advocacy, education and treatment programs for girls and women.

Purpose of Ministry:

Wellspring Living exists to create restorative environments for victims of childhood trauma and sexual exploitation. Our vision is to see victims step out of their pain and begin to rebuild their lives.

How was the OHS grant used?

The OHS grant was used for the establishment of our girl's program, Wellspring Living Girls. By providing counseling, group therapy, education, life skills, vocational training, family reunification as well as spiritual care, the Wellspring Living Girls program helps sex trafficking survivors heal and move forward.

Feed my Lambs, Inc.

Mission: 

Our mission is to partner with local businesses, communities and area churches to open Christian schools in economically impoverished areas, to help empower at-risk children spiritually, academically, physically and socially, and to improve families and communities.

Purpose of Ministry:

Feed My Lambs is a nonprofit grassroots organization whose purpose is to provide tuition-free Christian schools for children living in impoverished areas around the world. Feed My Lambs schools educate children and their families about a better way of life. It operates schools of excellence and is funded solely by financial and in-kind donations from individuals, businesses, foundations, churches and communities.

How was the OHS grant used?  

The grant from One Hundred Shares was used to purchase a Dodge Sprinter van to enable us to continue delivering food and supplies to the schools weekly.

Volunteer opportunities:

  • Read to the class, assist the teachers, do an art activity, share a talent
  • Help or host seasonal parties such as Happy Birthday Jesus, Thanksgiving, etc.
  • Help our cooks in the kitchen; play with our bed babies
  • Participate in Praise and Worship with the students
  • Help organize and participate in Field Day
  • Host a fundraiser
  • Enter our annual golf tournament (May)
  • Help work at a Happy Birthday Jesus party (help set up, serve food, hand out sweat shirts, distribute gift bags)
  • Prepare for Happy Birthday Jesus Parties (collect toys from birth-12 years old for boys and girls, stuff gift bags, organize sweat shirts, etc.)

One Hundred Shares is a 501c3 Christ-centered organization that awards financial grants to selected Christian nonprofit ministries in the greater Atlanta area who serve those in need and proclaim the Gospel. Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations that will use the proceeds to expand an existing program or establish a new initiative.
